Aloha! The Polynesian culture will be in full celebration at the annual Labor Day Luau at Thanksgiving Point. The outdoor event will be in the majestic Waterfall Amphitheare with a Polynesian-style dinner to kick off the festivities followed by a Keiki fashion show, Samoan fire cooking demonstrations, and an authentic luau.
Traditional dances from UVU Cultural Envoys will be showcased from the Polynesian islands including Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti, Samoa, and Tonga. Other entertainment for the evening includes skilled fire dancers who will light up the stage with their glowing maneuvers.
In addition, This year’s luau will be featuring 5 island villages that will have interactive experiences at each one which includes:
Hawaii: poi samples, hula
New Zealand: Poi balls and tattoo
Tahiti: Legend story
Samoa: Coconut demonstration
Tonga: Drum demonstration
Doors Open: 5 pm
Dinner Served, 5 - 6:30 pm
Visit island villages: 5 – 7:30 pm
Keiki Fashion Show, 6:45 -7 :20 pm
Luau: 7:30 – 8:45 pm
