Green Team Information: As a grassroots project, the Green Team will be involved in understanding what role sustainability plays at Thanksgiving Point. By creating this baseline, the Green Team will work on strengthening practices that are already in place, in addition to creating programs/projects/processes to reduce Thanksgiving Point’s environmental impact.
Number of Green Team Members Accepted: 6
Responsibilities: 1) Participate in an initial training on sustainability 2) Develop and implement a sustainability vision that complements Thanksgiving Point’s existing mission statement 3) Attend monthly meetings/trainings 4) Collaborate with fellow team members to develop and initiate projects/programs/trainings/etc. 5) Serve as a sustainability mentor to fellow Thanksgiving Point employees and guests
Length of Project: Funding for this project will last approximately 8 months (April 2018-November 2018). Green Team Members will be paid for their scheduled hours (approximately 1-2 hours a month). Continuation of the Green Team will be based on success of project and budget.
