Hello! Thank you for your interest in becoming a Thanksgiving Point volunteer for our Garden of Quilts show this September. Events such as these are huge undertaking and we could not produce them nearly so well without the invaluable support of our volunteers.
By the time the exhibition is over our generous volunteers will have logged several hundred hours of service. We have opportunities available before the show, during, and after and numerous different types of positions ensuring that those interested can find something that fits their talents and interests.
As mentioned, volunteer needs for the Garden of Quilts extend beyond just working during the festival. Some needs before the event include quilt check-in, inventory, and preparation of signage, quilt hanging.
During the event: Positions include parcel and sewing machine check station and machine rental desk, wayfinders, "white-glove" quilt handlers, greeters, exit gate security checkers, class hosts and registration, charity and "green room" tent hosts, weather emergency teams, and more. Shift availability: 8:30-12, 11:30-2, 2:30-6, 5:30-8:30
After the event we will need help with various tasks including quilt check out and return.
Volunteers working the Garden of Quilts will be provided the following incentives:
