All Thanksgiving Point educator workshops and webinars are free for Utah public and charter school educators, and relicensure credits will be given for each session attended. These programs are supported by funding from the Utah State Legislature and in collaboration with the Utah State Board of Education.

• Thanksgiving Point workshops typically last 1-3 hours and contain a combination of methods, lesson plans, resources and materials for hands-on, SEEd-based science learning that can be immediately implemented in your own classroom
• Subjects may include:
  • Citizen Science
  • Science Learning in a Virtual Setting
  • Engineering and Design
  • Grade Level Assessments for SEEd Standards
  • And much more!

To show our appreciation for your efforts to give your students opportunities to explore science outside the classroom we offer FREE admission on specific dates with current school identification to visit our venues. Learn more about outreach programs, field trips, and other resources. (Currently suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions)

• Discover all that Thanksgiving Point has to offer!
• Learn about self-guided and facilitated K-12 field trips, available scholarships to help the cost of visiting Thanksgiving Point, free statewide outreach programs for 3^rd and 8^th grades, USU Science Kits for checkout, and the ECO Challenge high school environmental science program.
• Check out state standard-related activities that are a part of Explorer PLUS facilitated field trips offered at each venue and explore our spaces to get inspiration for bringing science to life for our students.

Prepare for a field trip by visiting the venue for free! Simply fill out the form at least one business day in advance to that date you want to come.

• Available for every venue once during a school year.
• You will receive an email confirmation which must also be shown to front desk.
• Teachers must also present their current teacher ID at the front desk
• Black-out dates include the Tulip Festival, the Storytelling Festival, Outdoor Movie Series, and any special ticketed events.

Watch chicken eggs hatch in your classroom with your students!

• Eggs are available to purchase for $3 each in January and are picked up on between 3pm-6pm on Mondays at Farm Country from March through early May
• We also offer starter kits which include a feeder, waterer, and a small bag of chicken feed for $8.

• Homeschool/Online School Days are a wonderful opportunity to experience special educational activities at our five unique venues on their designated days from 10am-3pm with a special admission discount. More information can be found on the Field Trip page HERE. Upcoming Dates:
